ToroAMA is teaming up with the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child to bring smiles to kids around the world. Darline Zuniga, Membership Coordinator for ToroAMA is leading the initiative this semester to bring awareness on the California State University Dominguez Hills campus, in Carson California. “I’m excited to team up with Operation Christmas Child to collect donations to make gifts for children in need around the world.” Operation Christmas child consists of sending shoeboxes filled with goodies (small toys, clothing for children, toothbrushes) that can help a child.
Alongside this campaign, Darline has established a GoFundMe account and has received amazing support but is still looking for more help. The Gofundme account is set up to take cash donations for those who just want to help monetarily. Additionally, the funds help support the shipping of the shoeboxes. “50 shoeboxes is our goal!”, Darline states. They will be collecting donations on campus as well as having a Christmas “shoebox” wrapping event on Monday, November 14th. Although this event is being promoted to CSUDH students, ToroAMA is reaching out to the community. For any more questions feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org. Deadline to donate is November 15th.
This season, help put a smile on children’s faces with Power of a ShoeBox!
